Brother Ameer Muhammad

A lifelong educator and community advocate, Brother Ameer Muhammad studied at the University of Islam and Clara Muhammad Schools in Chicago from age four through high school graduation in 1975, where he received a rigorous education emphasizing Arabic language, Islamic teachings, and academic excellence under the guidance of renowned educators. Beginning at age eleven, he worked at his family's supermarket while maintaining his studies, learning the value of self-reliance and entrepreneurship. Brother Ameer went on to pursue higher education at Aerospace Institute, earning his degree in Aviation Administration. He remains committed to preserving and sharing the rich legacy of the University of Islam schools and their profound impact on education, Islamic practice, and community development in Chicago.
